Built for spending in more than one currency

Scan any receipt

Take a photo, pick one from your gallery, or upload a PDF. VagaBill reads the merchant, amount, currency, date and category for you.

Honest about what it isn’t sure of

A ¥ could be yen or yuan; 03/04 could be March or April. VagaBill flags the field it doubts and puts the likely answers one tap away. Nothing is saved until you have seen it.

The rate on the day you paid

Every amount is converted to your home currency at the exchange rate of the expense date — not today’s — which is the figure your accountant expects.

Grouped by trip

Create a trip and the receipts dated inside it file themselves, with totals per trip and per category instead of one endless list.

Days by country

Know where you stand on the 90/180 rule

Log where you are and VagaBill counts your days in the Schengen area over the last 180, shows how many you have left, and the date you would reach 90 if you stayed put. Days outside Schengen are tracked too, and shown apart.

A count of days present, not immigration or tax advice.

Pay for scans, not for months

Most months you scan a handful of receipts; some months, dozens. So there is no subscription — buy a pack when you need one, and it never expires.

Questions

What is VagaBill?

VagaBill is a mobile app for iOS and Android that scans receipts in any currency, converts each amount to your home currency at the exchange rate of the day you paid, groups expenses by trip, and counts the days you spend in the Schengen area against the 90/180 rule.

Who is VagaBill for?

Freelancers, consultants and remote workers who travel for work and pay in more than one currency — and need those expenses in order when it is time to invoice a client or file a return.

Is the day counter legal or tax advice?

No. It counts the days you were present in each country from the stays you record. It does not decide whether you may enter a country or where you are tax resident — check those with the relevant authority or an adviser.

What happens to my receipt photos?

They are stored privately, in the original, because a receipt is the evidence behind an expense. You can delete your account and everything in it from the app’s settings at any time. Read the privacy policy.

Which languages does it speak?

English, French, Spanish and German. It follows your phone, and you can pick another in the settings.
